Mae defnydd uchel yn helpu i amddiffyn pobl sy'n rhy ifanc neu'n rhy sâl i gael brechlynnau eu hunain.6



Mae gwahaniaeth o 11 pwynt canran yn y defnydd o frechiadau rhwng plant 4 oed sy'n byw yn yr ardaloedd lleiaf difreintiedig a'r ardaloedd mwyaf difreintiedig yng Nghymru.8 



Lleoliadau trefol a phrifysgol sydd â'r risg uchaf o achosion o'r frech goch oherwydd cyfraddau brechu is ymhlith pobl ifanc. Gall brechu atal y frech goch.8

Mae anghydraddoldebau brechu yn gysylltiedig â llawer o ffactorau, gan gynnwys oedran, daearyddiaeth, statws economaidd-gymdeithasol ac ethnigrwydd9

Mae Fframwaith Imiwneiddio Cenedlaethol 2023 yn nodi blaenoriaethau ar gyfer trawsnewid brechu yng Nghymru: 

Cydraddoldeb: Dylai
byrddau iechyd sicrhau mynediad teg a chyfle i fanteisio ar y cynnig o frechu.

Brechu wedi'i alluogi'n ddigidol: Atebion newydd i gefnogi dinasyddion a delifero i’r GIG.

Llythrennedd brechu: Gwybodaeth glir a chyfathrebu cadarn i wella dealltwriaeth y cyhoedd o bwysigrwydd brechu.10
