ABPI response to appointment of new Patient Safety Commissioner

The Government has today announced the appointment of Dr Henrietta Hughes OBE as the first ever Patient Safety Commissioner for England.  

We look forward to working with Dr Hughes in her new role. Dr Amit Aggarwal, Medical Director, ABPI

In response, Dr Amit Aggarwal, Medical Director at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry said:

“The introduction of a Patient Safety Commissioner was an important recommendation made by Baroness Cumberlege in her First Do No Harm report. We look forward to working with Dr Hughes in her new role.”
