During my degree I was lucky enough to do a sandwich year in a research institute based in Manchester, which is called the Pasteur Institute of Cancer Research, while I was based there, I did some work which is quite closely related to my current role, looking at drugs cancer drugs, basically. So, I did that for a year, then after I graduated, I started to work for AstraZeneca in Alderley Park, but I was involved in drug discovery which is the early phase of drug development, where a lot of compounds are screened for different properties.
