Colette is CEO of Diabetes UK, a charity which campaigns for better care, gives support in times of need and funds ground-breaking research into new treatments and cures.  1 in 5 adults in the UK now have a form of diabetes or have pre type 2 diabetes.

Colette has worked at Diabetes UK for 12 years being the Director of Services, Volunteering and Nations and Regions before taking on the CEO role.   She has a strong interest in futures and scenarios thinking and Diabetes UK have been a case study with the Said Business School Scenarios programme, and she is featured in the Oxford View of Strategy course for her approach to open and inclusive strategy.

Earlier roles include COO at MEND and Director UK Programmes at Save the Children, with a  focus on severe and persistent poverty and where she was Co-Chair of the End Child Poverty Coalition.  Her career started as a research scientist and then focused on bringing innovations to market, which led to her heading up an international business in the chemical industry.  

Colette is interested in cross sector issues, especially how health and the environment come together.  She is a Trustee at the Bat Conservation Trust.  

ABPI Patient Advisory Council

The ABPI Patient Advisory Council - made up of eight chief executives or members of the executive leadership team from across UK patient organisations, provides ABPI Board Members and Senior Executive Team with meaningful patient engagement to inform strategy, policy priorities and work-plans across the ABPI.
