Sandra Ramirez is General Manager, Astellas Pharma Ltd

Sandra Ramirez is an accomplished senior leader with more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical sector spanning international markets, commercial operations, and organisational transformation across the Latin America, United States and most recently the UK.

Sandra was appointed as General Manager of the UK Affiliate of Astellas Pharma on 1 January 2026 and at that time also became a member of the above-country, Astellas Established Markets Leadership Team.

Prior to relocating to the UK, Sandra was Latam Area Lead at Astellas Pharma, where she oversaw operations across Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and distributor markets in Latin America.

Her leadership is focused on advancing innovation, strengthening regional healthcare access, and driving strategic partnerships across diverse and evolving health systems.

Before joining Astellas, Sandra built a distinguished career at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), where she progressed through several key executive roles.
