NICE/DTSU/ABPI Masterclass: Evidence Synthesis for NICE submissions

The NICE/DTSU/ABPI Masterclasses are unique in being focused solely on the specific requirements of NICE and its Appraisal Committees and on the challenges associated with key areas of evidence generation and methodology.

This masterclass will consider, via presentations and interactive group exercises:

• The technical properties that evidence syntheses must have to be transparent, appropriate and conform with the requirements set out in the ‘NICE technology appraisal and highly specialised technologies guidance: the manual’
• How the rationale for an evidence synthesis should be developed and presented
• How an Appraisal Committee may react to arguments based on different types of evidence

The masterclass is specifically designed for staff in pharmaceutical companies who prepare submissions, the consultancies that support them, and members of the academic groups who review the submissions.
