Uday Bose

Uday Bose is a senior leader in the life sciences sector with more than 25 years of experience spanning market access, general management and global operations. Known for an insight-led approach to leadership, his career has focused on improving access to innovative medicines, particularly in oncology and specialty care, while helping organisations adapt to changing market and healthcare needs through transformation, innovation and the thoughtful use of data, technology and AI.

He has held senior leadership roles across national, regional and global organisations, with experience in the UK and Ireland, EMEA and broader international markets, supporting the product lifecycle for both early- and late-stage innovation.

Uday is currently General Manager, UK at GSK, where he leads the company’s UK business with a focus on delivering patient and health system impact through strategic partnership across the healthcare ecosystem. In this role, he is helping shape how GSK responds to the changing needs of patients and the wider health environment in the UK, while promoting a future-focused approach to leadership, growth and innovation.

Before joining GSK, Uday held senior leadership roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, including Head of Global Marketing and Operations and Country Managing Director and Head of Human Pharma for UK & Ireland. Across these roles, he led organisational transformation, strengthened the company’s ability to respond to changing market needs, and maintained a strong focus on expanding patient access to innovation. He has also held a number of industry leadership roles, including Chair of the European Medicines Group and a member of the ABPI Board of Management.

He is a guest lecturer at UCL Business School for Health and is currently completing a doctorate in business at Durham University and Emlyon Business School.
