Kelly Sanderson Schrems

Kelly Sanderson Schrems was appointed Vice President and General Manager for AbbVie UK in May 2026. 

She leads the UK organisation, advancing AbbVie’s mission to deliver innovative medicines that transform patient care, and brings a commitment to help strengthen the UK’s position as a leading environment for innovation and patient access.

Kelly has 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and prior to her current role, has held senior commercial, operational and strategic leadership roles at AbbVie across the United States and Europe. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Commercial Operations for AbbVie’s global Oncology franchise, where she supported business performance and strategic execution across a complex therapeutic area.

She has strong familiarity with the UK healthcare system, having previously worked within AbbVie’s UK Oncology business.

Prior to joining AbbVie, Kelly was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, advising organisations on strategy and operations.

Kelly holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She also holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan.
