Funding medicines for cancer
The UK Government has pledged that the death rate from cancer in people aged under 75 will be cut by one fifth by 2010, and that cancer care in this country will be among the best in Europe. Yet recent figures show that there is considerable room for improvement, both in terms of survival rates and spending on vital innovative medicines for the treatment of cancer. This booklet looks at the need for more investment in cancer medicines.
