For the past fifteen years or so, we have attended regular meetings with the Department of Health and the MHRA as a Ministerial Industry Strategy Group (MISG) to ensure that Life Sciences remain a key industry sector in the UK.
Under the auspices of “Life Sciences UK”, we work collaboratively with the following organisations to forward the work of the Office for Life Sciences (OLS):
For more information visit the Office for Life Sciences.
The OLS was established in 2009 as a cross-government department combining representatives from HM Treasury, Department of Health, and Department for Business Industry & Skills (BIS).
We also work with medical charities and organisations to provide them with industry perspective on their projects – including:

International Health Partners (IHP) – www.ihpuk.org

We believe that the UK should aspire to nothing less than a health and care system that delivers the best patient outcomes in the world by 2030.
We work with our members, the Government, NICE, the NHS and other stakeholders to ensure that the full value of medicines is understood and assessed appropriately, and that patients and the NHS can access the medicines they need when they need them.
This area covers the life cycle of a product through its design and formulation before application to the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for an authorisation to market the product.
