John Illman
is a former Medical Correspondent
on the Observer. Previously, he
was Health Editor for the Guardian,
columnist for Woman magazine and
for six years, Medical Correspondent
on the Daily Mail. His publications
include The Body Machine with Professor
Christiaan Barnard. An experienced
broadcaster, he is currently chairman
of the Medical Journalists Association.
