The NIC is a unique partnership whose members are committed to working together to support a system where patients have faster and more consistent access to NICE-recommended medicines, treatments and technologies. This independent partnership between the NHS, the life sciences industry, healthcare professional bodies, key health organisations and the public is transformational and heralds a collaborative approach that will be critical in achieving improved outcomes for the whole population.
The signing of the NIC concordat by all its partners is the very first time that the NHS and its stakeholders have come together to work in this way and completely re-draws the landscape.
