Lord Winston is Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College, and Director of NHS Research and Development for Hammersmith Hospital, London – one of the UK’s leading medical research centres.

Lord Winston will take a fresh look at human innovation, and examine how advances in technology could shape our future.

Back in February of 2010 Lord Winston published his book 'Bad ideas?', which looked at man's greatest discoveries and innovations, in which he asked whether our dependence on science and technology has led us into a precarious situation, which may get worse, before it gets better.
