At every stage of their cancer treatment, the availability of information is a vital issue for patients, so that they can be involved in all aspects of their care.The provision of high quality information for people with cancer is a growing need, because although some people are satisfied with the information they receive, many others are still denied this basic requirement.

This report explores the need for an open relationship between cancer patients and healthcare professionals.
