The Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership, created by the ABPI and BIA, is celebrating the launch of the £20.4m Government funded ADDoPT (Advanced Digital Design of Pharmaceutical Therapeutics) project.
The project aims to transform the UK pharmaceutical industry by enabling the manufacturing processes of the innovative medicines of the future to be designed digitally before becoming operational. It will do this by developing and implementing advanced digital design techniques that eliminate non-viable drug candidate formulations as early as possible, streamlining design, development and manufacturing processes.
ADDoPT is a collaboration between Government, Industry and Academia, lead by Process System Engineers and supported by the Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership.
