Two companies have been elected to full membership of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and three more have been admitted as general affiliates. A sixth company has become a research affiliate.
"I am delighted to welcome these new member companies to the ABPI. We represent the pharmaceutical industry to Government, politicians, the NHS, the media, patients and others and we can do this most effectively with a strong and vibrant membership," said Nigel Brooksby, President of the ABPI.
The two new full members are Servier Laboratories Ltd, of Slough and Grünenthal Ltd, of High Wycombe. The new general affiliates are The Boots Company plc, of Nottingham; Policy Matters, of Worplesdon, Surrey; and STAR Medical, of Bath. The new research affiliate is Sequani, of Ledbury.
Companies considering participation with the ABPI, at any of the above membership levels, can contact the Membership Engagement Account Director – 0207 747 1426.
