The programme covers all aspects of corporate governance and directors' responsibilities and focuses on strategies to improve business performance. Applicants who successfully pass the examination will be awarded the IoD/ABPI Diploma in Company Direction.

The programme is structured as a series of eight workshop modules, ranging from one to three days, to be taken over two years. Participants will gain new skills and knowledge, a wider understanding of corporate purpose and create a peer level network to help them fulfil their roles more effectively and confidently.
Subjects covered include finance, law and marketing specifically in the context of the pharmaceutical industry. Successful completion of the diploma can lead on to the IoD's professional qualification, Chartered Director.
