ABPI welcomes Patrick Walker to his role as Chair of the PPRS Disputes Panel. The PPRS is a vital agreement between Government and the pharmaceutical industry and it is essential that any disputes which arise under it can be efficiently, constructively and competently dealt with.
Patrick has considerable legal and mediation skills and has experience of many types of commercial disputes, all of which will assist him in carrying out his role as Chair of the Panel. We wish him well in his appointment.
Health Minister, Earl Howe has commented:
"I am pleased to confirm the appointment of Patrick Walker as Chair of the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS) Dispute Resolution Panel. The PPRS aims to deliver value for money for the NHS and a fair return to the pharmaceutical industry. Patrick's valuable experience as a barrister, accredited mediator and deputy High Court Judge will help ensure that any disputes arising are resolved in support of these aims."
