We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to learn more about how the appraisal process works in Wales, providing a networking opportunity with colleagues from the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) and the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC).
As you will be aware, the role and remit of Healthcare Technology Appraisals (HTA) is often a topic of discussion between the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare policy makers and implementers. The remit of the AWMSG and changes to their processes have evolved with input from the ABPI Cymru Wales Value Group, TDA Partnership Group and the AWTTC.
We are holding an ABPI Cymru Wales AWMSG Masterclass on Tuesday 26 November 2013 at the All Nations Centre, Cardiff.
Speakers will include:
Prof Phil Routledge – AWMSG Chairman
Prof Dyfrig Hughes – AWTTC Lead Health Economist
Mrs Karen Samuels – Head of HTA, AWTTC
Dr Warren Linley – AWTTC Senior Health Economist
Building on previous events, this masterclass will split into two distinct themes, one concentrating on practical sessions devoted to the appraisal submission process, and the other considering the wider policy and strategic implications of HTA in Wales.
The masterclass is open to those within the pharmaceutical industry with an interest in either the HTA process or wider Welsh environment.
The cost for ABPI members is £100 plus VAT and non-members £200 plus VAT. If you would like to attend, please complete this form and return it by Friday18 October 2013 to:
