Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
ABPI’s privacy policy sets out the type of information which ABPI might collect from you as a result of your use of this website and how it processes that information.
2. Visitor Information
ABPI collects information about general visitors to its site in two ways:
2.1 If you visit ABPI’s website, our system allows us to collect information about that visit including, for example, the host and domain name of the visitor, the time you spend on the site and the webpages which you visit.
2.2 If you contact ABPI with a request, suggestion or comment, you will be asked to provide us with personal information in order to log that contact.
3. Customer Information
To enable you to order and, where appropriate, purchase ABPI publications, ABPI asks you to provide it with an order form which may include your name, home address, business address, email address, telephone or fax number and possibly bank, cheque or debit/credit card details.

ABPI may use your information for the following purposes:
4.1 to collect information in aggregate form (provided always that the individual’s identity is not disclosed) to show ABPI how many visitors there have been to the website and the nature of such visits in order to produce statistics on numbers of visitors to the website and allow ABPI to determine how it should change or improve the website.
4.2 to respond to any request, suggestion or comment you refer to us.
4.3 to process any orders you may place for publications
4.4 to send you details of any ABPI goods, services and events which might be of interest to you.
5. Data Sharing
5.1 ABPI does not sell personal information it has gathered about you to third parties.
5.2 ABPI will release personal information which we are required by law to disclose.
5.3 It may be necessary for ABPI to use a third party to process your information. Where this occurs, ABPI takes steps to ensure that such processing conforms with current UK data protection legislation.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files transferred to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable our system to recognise your browser and to provide features such as personalised greetings and storage of items in your shopping basket. ABPI uses a cookie for the latter purpose.

If you set your browser to reject the ABPI’s cookie you will still be able to use the website. However, you may experience problems ordering using ABPI’s electronic purchasing system. Our cookie only captures the personal information you provide to us in order to process your on-line purchase.
