The Scottish Sexual Health Industry Group (SSHIG) is dedicated to acting as a bridge between health communities; championing visionary services and promoting the exchange of knowledge between professionals and the public, as well as reducing the stigma associated with sexual health issues.
Respect and Responsibility1 recognised Scotland’s poor sexual health, highlighting widespread and increasing numbers of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancy in Western Europe. SSHIG is working towards making best intentions of the strategy a reality by exploring ways in which we may work cooperatively with stakeholders across the Scottish Sexual Health community to achieve our common goals.
SSHIG works under the auspices of ABPI in Scotland. Our members are Abbott, Bayer, Janssen, MSD and Pfizer.
