ABPI Scotland disease-specific therapy groups

ABPI Scotland runs nine disease-specific industry groups covering a spectrum of conditions. These therapy groups work collaboratively at a national level with NHS Scotland, the Scottish Government and patient groups to deliver improved patient outcomes.

The therapy groups form an important part of our activity in Scotland: working to develop and deliver collaborative projects, supporting patient organisations and informing policy by responding to Scottish Government and NHS Scotland consultations.

Each therapy group works within an agreed set of rules via its constitution and competition law, which has to be approved by the ABPI. Their work with others is regulated throughout by the ABPI’s Code of Practice.
