How we support our General Affiliate members

Industry monitoring and communication for members

  • Weekly proactive support on upcoming media issues
  • Government affairs report – daily political intelligence report
  • Media updates
  • Health Technology Assessment Bulletin – bimonthly report on the latest developments in HTA policy
  • Key updates and publications in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Feedback from meetings and discussions with key stakeholders in Government, the NHS and other groups.

Examples of ABPI communications: Newsflash, Environment Report, Government Affairs Report, President’s Report.

Events

General Affiliates receive invitations to selective events designed to update members on topical issues, providing excellent opportunities for networking and sharing members’ views.

Our events include: ABPI Annual Conference, November Member conference, R&D Conference, and regular master classes on hot industry topics.

Networks and groups

Our expert networks and groups comprise member companies and ABPI representatives with expertise in a specific area of work. Groups work on the key issues that are affecting the industry. General Affiliate members have the opportunity to apply for membership of working groups according to the groups terms of engagement – sometimes numbers have to be limited.

Research Affiliate members are also able to become observers of some groups to track group activities.

Examples of Networks and groups include: Legal Expert Network, Regulatory Expert Network, Corporate Affairs Network.

Extranet

We continue to engage members through exclusive access to the ABPI Extranet – the portal for regular and timely communications on ABPI working groups, consultations and discussion forums.
