Multiple sclerosis is the most common cause of physical disability among people of working age, and affects around 85,000 people in the UK. It imposes a significant reduction in the quality of life of all those affected by it, as well as a large cost burden. This booklet looks at various aspects of MS and provides an overview of some of the new compounds in development and how they may work.
A Welsh language version of the introduction is also available.
This publication is part of ABPI's Target series.
